PDSS:
Following the decommissioning of the Staffordshire County Council’s Physical Disability Support Service. (PDSS) Anne Ratcliffe decided to set up independently with effect from September 2017. The aim of the PDSS service is to provide settings to enable inclusion of pupils with physical difficulties and associated learning needs, support can be offered with transition between settings, advice on equipment, support with the SEND assessment, access to the environment and curriculum, mobility, physical access, liaise with other agencies/ professionals, touch typing, handwriting, gross and fine motor skills, physical management/ personal care, care plan and risk assessment guidance, moving and handling advice/ training, life skills, personal self-help, training dyspraxia, hypermobility, and basic signing.
