A warm welcome to Horton Lodge School. It is my pleasure and privilege to be the Headteacher of our very special community school. We are a school for children with physical disabilities and many of our pupils have additional learning difficulties and complex communication needs. The school also supports some pupils with additional visual and / or hearing impairments. We have a residential provision that we call Kiplings (placements are made in line with the Local Authority residential admissions process).

Our curriculum aims to provide a personalised approach to learning with communication and independence at the heart. The pupils’ curriculum is planned and delivered using the Conductive Education ethos. We provide the specialist knowledge and skills to meet the needs of each individual within the school. We have many special facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, trampoline for Rebound, specialist playground and multisensory room.

We are proud of the mutually supportive ethos of our school. The wellbeing and success of every child is central to our school’s work and we are committed to the safety and care of our pupils. We work closely with parents, families, other professionals and agencies to maximize the opportunities on offer for all of our pupils.

If you would like to know more about us then I would welcome you to visit Horton Lodge and meet our exceptional staff and pupils and see our wonderful grounds and facilities. If I can be of any further assistance then please do not hesitate to contact me.
