What is the PSFA...
We are a group of parents and staff who all give our time on a voluntary basis to organise and run fundraising (and hopefully fun!) activities for those in our school community.
We are currently made up of a Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and other committee members. Our aim is to use the funds we raise to provide 'extras' for the school. On an annual basis, we provide funding for:
The Bendrigg Trust is a Charitable Trust offering residential and day activity courses for groups of disabled and disadvantaged people, of any age or ability.
Each year the PSFA is responsible for buying all the children in school a Christmas present. Also we organise and provide the refreshments and raffle at the Christmas concerts.
In addition we use funds raised to purchase and contribute towards other items that are suggested and we are approached to help with. Generally these would be things that would not normally be covered under school funds, such as playground / outdoor equipment, trips and non-educational items.
Our fundraising during the course of 2013 was predominantly focused on the installation of a new accessible roundabout in the play area. We managed to reach our target through very generous donations and organised events that were supported and attended by many.
