Headteacher Welcome

Lucy Bloor

Welcome to Horton Lodge School – a truly special place. Over a number of years, I have witnessed the lifelong impact that this school has had on the pupils and community.

We are a primary age special school for children with physical disabilities and additional learning needs. Many of our pupils have sensory, communication and medical needs.  As a Local Authority special school our pupils come from across Staffordshire and neighbouring counties. We are fortunate to have a residential provision that we call Kiplings (placements are made in line with the Local Authority residential admissions process).

Our highly dedicated and skilled teams support pupils to participate fully in education and the world outside school. Our empowering curriculum is carefully planned to focus on what is most important for the pupils and is delivered through the Conductive Education ethos. You can find additional information about Conductive Education on this website.

Everyday we live our mission statement of ‘Working Hand in Hand to Achieve Potential’. Please take a look at our aims and values, which capture our goals and how we get there
